One of the Best Proofs of My Engineering Skills: I Built a Polymarket Market-Making System

One of the best ways to demonstrate engineering skills is to build something that has to work in the real world.
I built a market-making system for Polymarket, designed around strategy logic, execution, and real market conditions rather than a theoretical backtest.
The strategy was tested for one week on Bitcoin 15-minute UP/DOWN markets.
The Results
During the real-world testing period:
- Up to 74% win rate
- ~3.0 profit/loss ratio
- ~$300 market usage
- $200–$300/day in rebate income
The numbers above came from the real testing period, not from a purely theoretical simulation.
The Interesting Part Was the Strategy
The core of the system was the strategy logic.
One of the key parts was mathematical modeling used directly inside the trading strategy rather than relying on a simple rule-based approach.
The goal was not just to make trades, but to build a system capable of continuously operating in a prediction-market environment while managing positions and execution.
Why I Built It
For me, projects like this are a better demonstration of engineering ability than simply listing technologies on a résumé.
A working trading system requires much more than writing code. You have to turn an idea into a real system, test it against live market conditions, measure the results, and understand where the strategy actually works and where it doesn't.
That is the kind of engineering work I enjoy.
